I asked recently how on earth The Righteous were going to distinguish between 'essential' and 'non-essential' flights* - the first question of course being from whose point of view we assess the essentiality of any flight.
The Metro very helpfully reports the case of at least three non-essential flights in this article. Or five, depending on your point of view.
* I am sure that this database will be very useful...

Interesting Metro article - very clever of the woman concerned to get on a flight to the wrong place.
Surely they have a clear and simple criterion for what is essential. THEIR activity is essential. OURS is not. WE may be paying for THEM, but THEY RULE.
I don't think Yasmin Alibhai-Brown will be taking any non-essential flights anytime soon.

Marksany, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is a revolting woman but I forced myself to watch that revealing vid, thank you.
Anyone for Pontins ?
fat bigot What do you suppose boarding passes are for ?
Many years ago I planned an Easter motorcycle trip to Spain, via Calaise. At the embarkation point the matelots stick a sticker on your 'bike and you then go where you are told. 'bikes go on last, behind all the trucks and get lashed to the bulkhead as convenient.
It was only when I noticed that the canteen menu was in some form of Scandinavian that I realised my ship was bound for Bergen.
Motorcycling in Norway in the winter is inapproriate but luckily the ship had not yet left harbour and I was allowed to disembark.
My point being that the lady in question could have been put on the plane by people to whom she had entrusted herself.

Oh God, Mark, it's really simple.
Essential flights. Those flights Polly takes to get to her destination.
Non essential flights. Those flights any one else takes to go anywhere, for any reason.
Doh!
Anon, cue Richard Littlejohn: "Do you think about global warming when you're flying to your holiday villa in Tuscany, pet?"
On pointless flights. Last night the BBC had a report on how, allegedly Galapagos is being ruined by tourists going there (the UN says it is Ecuador says it isn't). It was fronted by a reporter & crew in the islands.
