There's not much to add to this. What would be interesting is correlating public spending in each region with the number of Labour MP's it has.

What is intersting is the gap between how much is raised and how much is spent. Given these are percentages it is hard to get a view but it certainly seems to be a big difference, so where has it gone?
If I get time tonight I might see if I can figure it out.
