Re the never ending attempts by the politically correct to use ten syllables where two will do, I’m not impressed by the phrase “black and minority ethnic”. The “black and” is surperfluous, since blacks ARE A minority ethnic group. But that’s only TWO surperfluous syllables, which is feeble. Surely PC windbags can do better than that? How about:

“black, Jewish, Muslim, Eskimo, Outer Monglian, Tibetan, Chinese, Arab and minority ethnic”.
