Oooh the irony

From The Daily Mail:

As the ranks of Communist party leaders lined up for the closing of the country's people's conference there was something highly dubious about many of the hair-dos on display. Despite the vast majority of men being aged between their early fifties and late sixties, barely a fleck of grey hair was to be seen...

While in the west men dye their grey hair in a vain attempt to appear younger, among china's high-ranking politicians there are more important factors at play. According to one expert China's leaders go to great pains to hide the grey, not because they want to look healthy and vigorous, but because they are terrified of standing out from one another. According to Steve Tsang, professor at the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Nottingham looking identical makes it easier for individual politicians to dodge the blame for any mistakes.

Well, call me politically incorrect, but isn't there a working assumption in the West that all Chinese people look the same, something the Chinese hotly deny?

No, they don't all look the same. I gather that the females have a slightly different shape. ;)

Careful. In Britain you can get sent on a diversity re-education course for saying something like that...

AC, nice one, racist and sexist! I'll see you on that course which RT is touting.

RT, as long as they don't send me to China.
