I just received an email from Miliukov Egor as follows:
Hello! I very like your beer, it's perfect! I have a small request to you. I collect beermats, labels, cover from all over the world. But they are very difficult to search.world. I already have a small collection. Please make a small contribution to my collection beermats, labels, cover. I would be very glad! I hope you will attribute with understanding. With the best regards.

I don't own any beer mats, but he didn't ask for my bank details or anything, so I assume it's a genuine request. If anybody fancies sending him something, please do so.

At the brewery we get on average 3 requests like this a month. Breweryana is a growing trend in Eastern Europe it seems.
Maybe he thought you were 'Wadworth' the beer?
Merry Xmas.
MW, do you sent them stuff for a bit of free publicity?
SL, I get that impression too.
Beer - damn, I knew there was something I forgot to buy in.
I once attended a national gathering of the British Beermat Collectors Association, they were raising funds for a medical charity I worked for at the time. In the auction beermats, trays etc. were going for hundreds, over £1000 in one instance I think.
That was in the 1980s and in fairness the buyers knew most of their money was going to charity.
The Russians have certainly embraced capitalism.
Not buying it James, nobody forgets to buy beer at Christmas although I did forget to pick up the turkey one year.
JH, get down Sainsbury's sharpish, 30 cans for £14!
Gregg, for the benefit of those who may doubt your words, there really is such a society.
Anon, I hope you didn't forget the cranberries too!
" . . get down Sainsbury's sharpish, 30 cans for £14! "
This lot would definitely not approve.
5 bottle of Hobgoblin for a fiver at Lidl! Hic
I just received the very same email trough my blog.
Now, of course, I do not make beer nor sell any.
If the guy is serious, hopefully he sent his request to actual brewers.
