Outbreak Of Commonsense

In Scotland.

OK, this is probably a reprieve (until they work out how to square it with EU law) rather than a finding of not guilty (or 'case not proven' as they say in wee bonnie Scotland as a sort of middle way between 'guilty' and 'not guilty'), but hey.

As a resident of the place, I'd suggest that the words "common sense" and "Scotland" aren't often seen together, so this is a welcome development.

Welcome, even though it scuppers my Cunning Plan for a Comfortable Retirement (ver. 2031a); the opening of a large off-licence a hundred metres or so on the English side of the border.

Just another tax on the poor.
They'd still buy the drink at the expense of food or gas-electric.
Morons like the SNP just don't see it that way.
Unless it's a ploy to "kill em off" even younger.
