Songs that are the same all the way through

For background, see An Englishman's Castle:It's not quite as edgy as the version I have on Chess Masters, but you get the idea.

As a veteran of this era (not just in years : the bassist in our band was at No 1 within a year of us wasting our time and going to university) I would plead for a less rosy view of the early 60's when it was not all wonderful stuff from Mr Burnett (and is n't that Willie Dixon on bass and Hubert Sumlin on lead guitar?).

This was the time an R'n'b tribute band called the Rolling Stones was copying black artists' numbers with painfully accurate imitations of the instrumental parts topped by Mick Jagger's voice which was and remains JUST AWFUL.I repeat AWFUL.So instead of really strong voices like Joe Turner,Screaming Jay,Howling Wolf,Muddy,Bo Diddley etc we get a vocalist (from the lse)
who did not have a blues voice.
And then the GB tribute bands only imitated guitar bands. The big piano and saxophone r'n'r bands dispappear at this point ,as do Cajun bands with accordions and bands led by harmonica player/vocalists at the level of Little Walter Jacobs.
