They've been telling us for ages to take showers not baths in order to save water (but don't use a power shower, obviously, far too much fun), but now we aren't supposed to take showers either.

Surely my weekly shower can't do me much harm?
Surely they should just advise you to bleach the shower head weekly*?
*It will also remove lime-scale and you'll have a better shower.
I think running the shower until it gets hot should chase the bugs away.
I'm with Doc Feelgood... What twat just gets under a shower and then turns it on? Even in a hot climate it's usually cold enough to freeze your nads off!
D, I need one daily to wake up.
AC1, that's far too sensible and practical.
DF, P, I'm happy to report that since it was repaired, our power shower (that would clean mud off the underside of an HGV) provides hot water after about two seconds.
On a point of information, AC1 refers to bleach (sodium hypochlorite) clearing a shower head of limescale (calcium carbonate)..... It won't. It's alkaline, not acid.
To quote MW, just sayin', is all.
Pendant perhaps you are right, although perhaps the sodium out-competes the calcium to remove it, as my bog is always nicely free of limescale.
