Who was the (Scots?) comedian who said "though things were rough where I grew up I was never smacked as a child... Other than the odd half-gramme to get me off to sleep sometimes"...? :-)
JH, 'smack' is another name for heroin AFAIAA, it's got nothing to do with E short for ecstasy.
Pogo, Hale & Pace did a great joke where one of them rants on about the dangers of smack, crack and pot, and the other one asks what's so dangerous about Rice Krispies.
Good old Google... managed to find the actual joke:
