[Dilemma] Whom do you trust less ...

... the UK Government/NHS or the World Health Organisation?

I certainly agree that the way things stand at the moment, normal, healthy people should not be given any drugs for swine flu.

It's flu.. let's not make it any worse by creating a drug resistant strain which is what will happen if we over medicate!

But in answer to your question, neither really :)

It's impossible to answer, ethically, morally, logically or philosophically - simply impossible.

I prefer to take health advice from my cat than either of those organisations. He's so relaxed about swine flu at the moment that I occasionally have to poke him with a stick to make sure he's alive. At which point he drools.

Trust in the cat..

Luckily, DDT has low or no toxicity to humans.

The Greens have been lying to us for a very long time.

You like asking the tough ones, Mark, don't you?

@ John W, fair point, but water isn't toxic either and you can drown in that.

JH, agreed. So let's go with what BTS says and ask our pets for advice.

Swine flu is just a massive scam. Someone's making a fortune out of it!

I trust the government less. An unstated factor is that if Tamiflu is overused it will increase the chances of the virus evolving immunity as has happened with many antibiotics. This is a serious problem but not one that will cause problems before the election. WHO's timescale is longer.

What a choice! Blearggh.

It's hard to trust either less than I do the other.

What do you think, cat?
