A large number of empty properties are Social Housing partly because of the slovenly they are managed and partly because of the state they are in when abandoned by pikeys and other inappropriate tenants.

Banned, that is true, and we have John Prescott to thank for the vacant properties left over from the Pathfinder nonsense. But all the same, if the "one million vacant properties" figure is correct, I doubt whether it's all council houses because that would be one in four council houses.
