A while back, Hazel Bleurgh said that the knives were out for the 'bloggers, and unless I am mistaken, she compared them disparagingly to "people who write to their local newspaper".
They've gone one better now - you can't even risk writing to your MP to complain about the fact that ... er ... your MP might be raided for being in possession of letters complaining about this.
H/t OH (and many others, of course).

This is entirely the fault of the MP - he's got a bloody nerve complaining about their behaviour when he invited them in and then tamely handed over the correspondence!
Hardly the Spartans at Thermopylae, is it...?
Maybe the story isn't that clear cut, but he claims he was informed by his staff that the coppers had already turned up.
The police are claiming it was by appointment (surely an easy thing to disprove if they are lying?).
And even if not, the proper response would have been 'Warrant? No...? Cya kthnxbai..".
Not "Oh, yes, officer, here you are, officer, can I get you anything else officer..?"
May she be bloggered!
