I'm pretty sure that this "Southern US hit by rare snowstorm" headline actually gets dragged out quite frequently.
I don't have the data to hand, but I seem to remember something similar being reported last year and the years before that. I realise Florida doesn't quite get the same blanketing as say New Hampshire, but once a year is starting to move out of the "rare" category in my definition.
Surely the climate warriors wouldn't be using exageration to defend their point of view. Could they?
It was the first snowfall in new orleans since 2004 a whole 4 years ago. This is exactly the reason why global warming is no longer mentioned by the old GW brigade. It is now climate change. That fits in with a cooling planet or a warming planet, more or less rainfall, snow or no snow, it is a cover all. So this cooling planet or snow in NO is because of Climate Change and is all our fault for leaving the light on whilst we have a bath.
Like Freud, GW explains everything AFTER the event and preducts nothing specific BEFOREHAND. This being so, and just like Freud, everything (including the opposite of what might be expected) confirms the "truth" of the theory. Oh, yes, and Marxism is like this too. (And Gordon Brown, but not quite as clever).
This is why, of course, none of the GW/climate change people can suggest any specific action to avert any specific outcome. Unlike myself, who gives money to buy land to create new areas in which endangered species can be protected. But they don't actually CARE about any of this. They just want to impose their wills on us and redistribute wealth.
