You don't know it's common sense until you know what the capital required is and what the running costs are vs. the cost of alternative methods. It might be completely economically un-viable. It is good to see methane, a greenhouse gas 20 times worse than CO2 being burned into H2O and CO2, if you believe in man made global warming, that is.
If they've enough commonsense to look at this, hopefully that will extend to doing a proper cost-benefit.
Whatever they do can't be stupider than shutting down perfectly good coal fired power stations and subsidising windmills.
I wonder if the pointless "recycling" is really a way to get the methane producing content of rubbish up?
