Britain's daftest ... (Grand Final)

Dearieme's submission 'Six Mile Bottom' was the runaway winner of the final, final heat (despite being treble- rather than double-barrelled), so the winners of the six preliminary heats are now through to The Grand Final.

In John Major's surprisingly interesting autobiography he mentions asking Baroness Trumpington why she chose that title, so she explained that there were two villages in her old constituency which were particularly important to her, one was Trumpington and the other Six Mile Bottom and being Lady Six ile Bottom didn't appeal.
