Last night it was suggested that if Britain boycotts the Chinese Olympics, they might just boycott us in 2012. That means that a swathe of the world's best competitors wouldn't be here - making the transport between sites much easier and considerably enhancing our chances of winning the egg and spoon, three-legged and sack events.
Britain should boycott as many series of other games as possible between now and 2012.
China should boycott the Olympics. Then use their current buildings to run a rival games open to Africans, south Americans etc. and anyone but the snippy west.
