President Putin’s former bodyguards have been rewarded for their loyalty with appointments to key posts, while their families have received high-value land near Moscow in an allegedly corrupt property scheme, a Russian newspaper has claimed.
Not much different to what William The Conqueror and his descendants were up to, in other words. Funny how The Times doesn't look at UK land ownership in the same light.

Not just William, later monarchs did the same in Wales and Ireland.
B, right up to the 19th century, at which stage they'd redistributed all available land up to their mates.
SOT, I have read that the Russian spymaster, responsible for the Salisbury poisoning and downing of the Malaysian Airways plane, has died "following a long illness". Regular interviews without coffee in the Lubyanka will have that effect, I suppose.
