US President Donald Trump has sought to explain why he referred to a security incident in Sweden on Friday which did not actually happen.
Addressing a rally on Saturday, he had said, "look at what's happening last night in Sweden", as he listed parts of Europe hit by terrorist attacks. With no such incident reported in Sweden on Friday, the country asked the US administration for an explanation.

Swedish police have confirmed they discovered a suspect device inside the lorry which was driven into a Stockholm department store on Friday. The device was found in the driver's seat, National Police Commissioner Dan Eliasson said, but it was not known whether it was a bomb. Mr Eliasson also said the suspect in custody was from Uzbekistan, 39, and known to security services.
The hijacked lorry was driven into Ahlens department store in the capital. Four people were killed - 10 remain in hospital, including a child. Two are in intensive care.

There is trouble in Sweden all the time. There are a few websites that report it, but the mainstream media try to keep it quiet. They very carefully focus on that fact that, on the exact night in question, nothing significant was reported.
Ah, is it that Mr. Trump who is predicted to get a second term despite Brexit and despite the US MSM? I'll put another bet on. He got me just under 400 quid the last time.

From what I can see that was the only terror attack carried out in Sweden that involved any deaths over the last decade or more. Just looked on Wiki and they list a couple of foiled attempts one involving a home made device utilising a pressure cooker. So 5 deaths in all those years. That's about typical for an an average week in a major US city due to firearms offences. However if there are more deaths in Sweden due to terror that the media aren't reporting I'd be curious to know the dource for such claims.
This just reinforces my view that Trump is Zaphod Beeblebrox incarnate.
