Killer Arguments Against LVT, Not (391)

To a Guardian article about the Housing Bill, Ben Jamin pointed out that this is not a "housing crisis", it is a "transfer of wealth crisis" and earned this condescending remark for his troubles:

Mike White:

I think your post is what we call text book stuff, in the less flattering sense. You're a land tax man, as some have been for at least 100 years in British politics. Odd that no clever chaps in charge in the real world, actually do it if you're as right as you seem to think.

But thanks for taking the trouble.

Ah well, that's all settled then.

The old "you're in the minority/ you've no credentials" KLN.

Odd that respected journalist and TV pundit Michael White would take the time to leave such a lame reply. Why bother?

BJ, The same Mr White gave my Bow Group thingy (which recommended LVT) quite a favourable write up 8 years ago.

Why does he bother? We are in the minority and we have no "credentials", so what? Nobody has credentials until they are proven right (which we have been many a time or else the whole world does not make sense).

Wouldn't that argument have worked against factories in the 18th century, and against computers in the 20th century?

LF, exactly.

Which "clever chaps in charge in the real world"?
