I don't know if any of the others are more clued up, but JC thinks that building more houses will bring the prices down.
B, please note that JC is a proper lefty who would build loads more social housing and cap rents. Those two measure provably would bring rents and house prices down and boost owner-occupation. This will admittedly cause some collateral damage, but on balance, A Good Thing.
