Hmm. Shall I watch Hamilton not win at Silverstone, or Murray not win at Wimbledon? Decisions. Decisions.

L, not just Hamilton, you can double up and watch Button not win either!

Following the England foot ball teams entirely deserved early ejection from the world cup, this is really turning out to be a great British sporting summer.

Plus Cameron coming in last at the EU Presidential games.

Well I stayed away from the mens and bet on the ladies. Radwanska (16/1) went out, but Halep (12/1) plays Bouchard (14/1) in the semi, guaranteeing me a thrilling final (and a good excuse to watch it).

MW Hamilton has the car. Button doesn't, so no expectation.

AKH, indeed, Cameron had me laughing out loud as well. A great British defeat, up there with the Charge of the Light Brigade.

SL, women's tennis is not like the old days though.

L, he has no car? Does he walk the track?

MW - OK, OK. Very droll. I too like to nail an ambiguiyty - but you know what I mean...

I find the older I get, the more entertaining womens tennis becomes.

Lola,

It might get interesting this weekend if we get rain as forecast. It tends to remove a lot of advantage of a car and make the driver more prominent.

TS - Yep, and then Mr Button has a much better chance - even though the car is relatively crappy - he is a joy to watch, especially from an in car camera. Enviable.

TS - well well, seen this?

Lola,

Not much chance of rain, then.

I just noticed that you'd get a race in say, Spa, and the drivers that were dominating would often not be winning, and Schumacher would do very well.

That said, I went to Silverstone and saw a wet grand prix and that's one of the most miserable ways to spend a load of money.
