"Counting the cost"

Emailed in by Paul H, from NY Daily News:

A Russian driver is counting the cost after crashing into two cows having sex on a busy road.

Astonishing dashcam footage shows his vehicle ramming into the side of the loved-up pair after they staggered mid-intercourse — one on top of the other — onto a busy highway.

All of which raises the question, why do so many Russian car drivers have cameras on their dashboards? They film loads of fascinating thing posted onto YouTube and the like, but is that why they have them?

Re: Dashcams

1) Fleet owners to keep an eye on their drivers
2) To ensure the police behave if they pull you over
3) To catch government officials breaking rules
4) For insurance claims to prove the other driver was at fault

Pinched from here.

PJH, I had assumed that but was too lazy to Google it. Thanks.

And in this case, the other "driver" definitely was at fault!

(Sorry, couldn't resist it.)

By the way, there's no such thing as a male cow. But hey.

Dashcams are because Russia is a dystopian insane place, where you the odds of catching something on them is very, very high.

AC, how do you know there was a bull involved? I've seen plenty of cows "assume the position".

to sustain so little damage after impact with 2 bovines must make this a good solid car. I couldn't see any signs of the make though...
