From The Evening Standard:

Allowing London to retain Council Tax and Business Rates revenues* would be a huge leap forward, encouraging the GLA to focus investment on transport and housing and increase the tax base.
Can Boris Johnson now resurrect Herbert Morrison's 1939 Site Value Rating for London Bill? An annual levy on some of the most valuable land in the world should sort out the capital's spending constraints nicely.

* My original list was much longer and also included Stamp Duty Land Tax, the Mansion Tax Lite (known colloquially as the "Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings") etc.

How timely of the Nimby residents of South Bucks to provide an example of this by obstructing the creation of jobs at Pinewood Studios.

Hi Mark.
Just to let you know that Fred Harrison is giving a talk about the role of the church in relation to the 'land question' on Saturday June 1st 10.00 am-- 2.00 pm at St James, 197 Piccadilly.
It would be great if a few geo-libertarian friends could help swell his congregation! His associate Peter Challen assures me that there's plenty of room still available and as this guy is the Henry George of our times it's an opportunity not to be missed.
CD, will you be there? If so I'll tag along.
I'll be there, yes. I went along to his last one a couple of months back (I emailed you the details but didn't receive a reply sadly) and mentioned your name, Harrison said that he's aware of your work!
This is the final conference in a 3 part mini project. I got the impression from Peter that there had been a lack of support for the other two so though I could utilise your blog to help get the message out. I hope that's ok with you!
CD, good, I'll stick something in the side bar.
Great. I've just forwarded Peter Challen's email to your gmail account so you're aware of the details. Let me know if you get it, if not I'll resend.
Thanks.
Seriously, who'd live in London? Soon to have plane noise from Boris Island?
JH, it's the whole buzz about the place, and hopefully Boris Island will never be built.
OK, as long as London spends it's own money on the arts rather than getting half of all spending, and if we can stop paying a £3bn/annum subsidy to London Transport.
and is that mombers from around these parts? If so, was the letter inspired by my blog post?
Not after any credit or anything, but it would give me a warm and fuzzy feeling if it was.
TS, yes and yes.
