Hurrah for her. Today, even before the first programme about this miracle hits the airwaves Channel 4 have issued a Press Release about Mary's next humanitarian gesture, and the G has duly reported it ....

Mary Portas's next Channel 4 show will see the retail expert launching an employment agency for over-65s.Is there no end to this obviously Superwoman's talents? Where would we be without her?
The factual entertainment series, working title Mary's Jobs for Life, is to be broadcast later this year.

I know nothing about her, but I can guess the formula easily enough. That's the nature of TV isn't it?
A K H Well so long as you are entirely clear that these programmes are NOT all about Mary making personal capital out of the misfortune of others and indulging in some shameless self promotion in the process ...
