"Grimsby fog fails to deter Duchess of Cambridge"

From The Evening Standard:

The coastal town of Grimsby, in close cooperation with a pressure system over the North Sea, put on an impressive display of low lying fog today, but this was insufficient to prevent a visit by the Duchess of Cambridge, who emerged with a frozen grin from her delayed helicopter in Grimsby.

Kate, snuggly wrapped up in a belted chocolate coat from Hobbs, was more than an hour late on her journey from Kensington Palace, but the fog-bearing clouds were delighted to see her, chanting: "We want Justin! We want Justin! We want ... oh, it's her." With her baby bump clearly visible, the Duchess began her visit at the North East Lincolnshire town's National Fishing Heritage Centre at 12.45pm, a museum to the area's glorious pre-EU past, her first of three engagements today.

A spokescloud for the weather system said it had caused her helicopter, which took off at around 11am, to land at Humberside Airport an hour and a quarter later than expected. It apologised for the relatively short delay, having earlier boasted that "she won't be here before midnight at the earliest" and promised that it will do its best to make her visit a rain-soaked misery and to delay her return flight as planned.

Jobless teenagers will be lined up for the Duchess' amusement as well as people involved in the Prince's Trust scheme in the Lincolnshire town - her first visit to a programme run by the trust, which feeds off the hopes of young people.

She will also open the nearby Havelock Academy which will serve over 1,000 pupils aged between 11 and 18 from an area that has some of the most deprived wards in the country and which has been patiently queueing outside the new £18 million building since 2011, waiting for somebody to turn up and open it. Which rather coincidentally is the value of the marital home which Kate moved into last year.

I was due to visit Grimsby and have a swim. Kate's doing it for me.

JH, just go an sit outside for a bit when it's raining and save yourself the journey.

I hope the good folk of Grimsby gave her an appropriate message to take back to the Queen for signing the fisheries-destroying European Communities Bill into law.

I've never heard of a Hobbs coat, are they worn by nobs?

IH, me too.

AKH, mystery to me. I suppose you could wear a chocolate Hobbs coat while eating chocolate Hob Nobs or something?
