"Christmas with Cliff"

Don't miss the free CD in today's Daily Mail!

I already had "Millennium Prayer" and "Mistletoe and wine" in my compilation of Xmas crap songs, but I didn't have "Saviour's Day" (which is really rather good) or his version of "Mary's Boy Child" which is a hilarious reggae spoof. Or at least I think it's meant to be a piss-take. It's even funnier if it was meant seriously.

Well worth 90p of anybody's money.

Ah, Blog Spam, I love your sense of irony.

Is this musical confessions week?

First we find out that David Duff is a new found Lou Reed admirer and now Mark owns up to being a Cliff fan.

Strange times.

D, that wasn't spam, that was El Spammo.

KB, I'm a big fan of Cliff, the human being. As to his actual records, the list of good ones is short - Travelling Light, Wired for Sound and, er, that's it.

Ah, I was a fan of Cliff and the Shadows in the Move it days, but they were already losing me around the time of the sorta creepy Living Doll.

Then I saw a bunch of weird looking guys who did blues covers like Come On and Little Red Rooster and that was that.

Far, far worse... Although my middle name is "Ebenezer" I consider Mr Scooge to be a wild, irresponsible optimist. :-)
