Well, that's a load of bollocks, isn't it. The hole is quite obviously an old well; you can see the bricks of the lining quite clearly. It must have been badly capped (timber?) when the house was built and the capping has dropped down the well.
My candidate for GS-HOTW is the News International one that seems to have swallowed up half the UK establishment
Strange - when I clicked on it, it was the space shuttle, not a hole. did it crash and make a big hole?
I thought it was going to be a picture of the headquarters of the Greek Treasury.
