This is the bizarre moment two fire engines were called to rescue a sheep - which was stuck on the roof of a house. Stunned residents dialled 999 after the creature was spotted scrambling across roof tiles in the remote village of Pontycymer, South Wales. A team from Bridgend Fire and Rescue Service took 40 minutes to bring the animal down from the terraced row using a Large Animal Rescue appliance...
Cue jokes implying that maybe the sheep was trying to escape a farmer with amorous intentions.

I didn´t realise how interesting cattle could be until you started collecting all these strange little stories :)
Instead of banning bull-fighting, combine it with cycling. How brilliant.
Sue, fascinating... and tasty. What's not to like?
D, I can just see them doing the Pamplona Bull Run on bicycles. There's already a logo for it.
Timmie summed it up.
"Stories that involve sheep always take place in Wales*. ...
If it’s about sheep and doesn’t involve Wales or the Welsh it’s not a story.
*Note that for these purposes New Zealand is part of Wales."
Python had something to say on the issue, some decades ago.
Welsh sheep are actually the smartest sheep in the world...Ahem, all due to the well hinted inbreeding ;-)
And now for the punchline...
Top of the World Baaa!
Such a promising headline Slashdot: Iowa Rejects Video Privacy Protection For Cows.
Such a disappointing story.
