A transgender woman in North Derbyshire was so determined to have sex reassignment surgery, she performed a DIY castration. The patient, 22, waited 24 hours before going to hospital, the Sheffield Star reports...
She told doctors that the process hurt less than she expected as they treated the wound and offered psychiatric help.

I am sure that these kinds of stories are getting exaggerated in the telling somewhere because I am sure that you would quickly faint from blood loss if nothing else. I can't believe that anybody would last 24 hours without treatment.
