GIANT NAZI Moles?

I was shocked by the politically incorrect phraseology under the picture of the sinkhole. It said “The crater, measuring some 40 by 15 metres, appeared in the town of Schmalkalden, a police spokesperson said. The hole is believed to be some 20 metres deep, she added.”

The sex of the spokesperson, quite correctly, is not revealed in the first sentence. Then the word “she” is used (in reference to the “person”) in the second sentence. I hardly knew where to look.

good friend of mine lives in a fine old merchant's house in Essen, on an uneasy angle due to subsidence (old coal mines), makes me feel seasick

PC, that was my first thought. But if you click the 'holes' label, you'll find they've tunnelled their way as far as China or Central America. Scary.

M, well spotted.

ND, I left comment over at yours.

Anon, wake up at the back.

I really need to work on those support beams.
