Spotted (independently) by Pavlov's Cat and JuliaM in The Telegraph:
Margaret Wrathall, 74, was herding cattle at her Northamptonshire farm when a bull broke loose from the pack and charged at her. The crazed bullock knocked Margaret over then brutally ''savaged'' her as she lay unconscious on the ground.

The way he ended that sentence with the throwaway remark "as bullocks do" perturbs me greatly. And "unpleasant" is not the first adjective that springs to mind either. Puts me in mind of the two farmers' wives from French & Saunders where one is always having some kind of horrendous accident like lopping off a digit or limb and brushing it all off as something they're entirely used to in "the countryside" and not to bother with a doctor or ambulance.
