Maths Fail

I've just spotted a typo in my previous post. It should read "... 47,055 foreskins could be grown to nearly four thousand square miles"

The original figure of 250,000 does seem just about plausible; if a baby's skin cells can divide 22 times, and hence the area of skin can double in size 22 times, one square inch would grow to 262,144 sq ft.

Check: 2^22 = 4,194,304. 4,194,304/144 = 262,144.
