That's a nice simple statistic.

From the BBC:

Unhealthy living is almost universal in Scotland, with virtually everyone in the country putting themselves at risk, according to a study... The report found that 97% of Scots had at least one of the risk factors.

I assume that the other three per cent are busy carrying out 'studies' and writing 'reports'.

Tomorrow in Glasgow a teenage gang forces a battered Mars Bar down the throat of "the last hold" out, in an effort to get to 100%.

From the report:

'respondents having a BMI ≥25 kg/m2 were classified as
“overweight/obese” and those <25 defined as “underweight/desirable”.'

An interesting choice of word, don't you think?

Not to mention that the use of the BMI as an indicator would place most of Scotland's rugby players in the 'risk factors' category (even without the consumption of alcohol).

And 100% of them are in the highest risk category - growing old.

Macheath, your right, BMI is bollox. I did a post on this a couple of years ago and showed that the Wasps 1st XV were all obese based on the information provided in their web biographies.

I also fall in to the BMI overweight category even though a heart consultant passed me as being in the 95% of fitness for my age (wrong side of 50).
