From the Austrian Independent:
A German couple have told how they were attacked by cows after travelling more than 800 kilometres to spend a stress-free holiday in the Austrian Alps...
The man said: "We wanted to walk to a nearby pub after arriving on Friday night when suddenly ten cows surrounded us. I unleashed our dog so she can escape. My wife suffered serious bruises when the cows attacked her. She eventually managed to lock herself in the hut, while I jumped into our car."
He added the cows damaged his car before they eventually made a move. His wife needed treatment at a clinic in Tamsweg, Salzburg. The couple decided to continue their stay despite the unpleasant incident.
Glorious. The man's not-quite perfect English is icing on the cake.
If you'd like to read a slightly fuller version in German, look no further than here, from which we learn further juicy facts, such as their names being Matthias E. and Angela V. (the first article said they did not want to be named); they are both aged 33 (the first article says he was 42); their dog was called Planto; the woman sustained her injuries jumping over a fence while escaping (rather than in the attack itself); and their car, a BMW 530, was a write off.

No wonder he's never around

Lots not being said in this one either. Reeks of secret trysts in the countryside, but clearly they reckoned without the moralistic and BMW hating cows of Austria.
But the Germans are on a roll at the moment - puppy hurling???

Ch, I'd take it at face value. Anybody who happens to know a 42-y.o. banker called Matthias E just has to draw a circle with radius 800 km from the village and see if that line crosses where he lives.
Good puppy throwing story. Far too good to even try and summarise.
Don't tell the safety elves or every farm gate will have to display one of these
