Could we see that in slow motion?
Pavlov's Cat links to a cautionary tale of bears, woods, irresponsible drug use, sore heads and 'not ending well' -

At least it didn't happen in the first set!
Had to happen sooner or later in a game that can potentially go on forever.

ACO,
I'm a bit Lost with those,
perhaps
5 9 13 17 22 27?
or
1 1 2 3 5 8 13?
Steven_L: it couldn't happen in the first set. Tiebreakers :0)
True that such a marathon had to happen sooner or later, tho.
Ch, depressing tale indeed. Your second sequence is very familiar but I'm lost with AC1's effort and your first one (although I'd guess 32, 38 are next).
S_L, I'm surprised you succumbed to that, as is J McE.
M, Yes if the ecology types simply left the fellow there to recover, I'd say they are guilty of criminal negligence. Certainly, in other countries, it's just about mandatory to monitor the animal till it's fully recovered.
My first sequence is called 'wednesday', and I'm not surprised you're Lost with AC1's sequence

Ch, ta, I don't pay attention to Lottery so I'd never have guessed.
When it comes to the lottery I never win, I've only Lost.
Can't you just go duece/advantage forever and ever in tennis in any set?
S_L, I believe you can, but you'd never get past 7-6. It's only the deciding set that you have to win by a margin of two games (i.e. 8-6 or 10-8, or in thise case 70-68).
It is in theory possible that the third and fourth sets in this particular match lasted a lot longer than the last one.
It is to be hoped that the fuddy duddies in their jackets will put down their strawberries for a while and think about what happened. If they have any sense they will change the rules to say that in such cases, the first one to 30 wins.
And the poor bastard is then given no respite, no free day - he had to come up next day against a fresh player and get well and truly stuffed. Seems a bit unfair.
