Not sure whether this is an animal story or a BBC story or an RSPCA story. A swan was protecting its space on the River Cam and annoyed the rowers. The BBC got involved and sent a crew down but they needed footage of the swan acting aggressively. They say they didn't provoke it, but Michelle Childerley says they did and argues she has a video of just that:
The RSPCA - who are not at all in a cosy relationship with the broadcaster - say they have seen the footage and are taking no futher action.*

I'm mildly surprised that Asbo hasn't been caught, cooked and eaten. Bloody undergraduates nowadays, no balls at all.
D, had you been an undergraduate, no doubt you would have been tasked with running him over (to the extent that somebody can trick him into trying to cross a road).
Not that the RSPCA are the authority here.
The folk to go to are Cambridgshire police's "Rural Community Action Team", as they have dedicated coppers.
I like the idea of sending the police to interview a BBC executive. It would close the Crimewatch circle.
