From The Grauniad:
It was the miracle that set Pope John Paul II on the road to sainthood and provided faithful followers with proof of his holy powers.
But hopes that the former pope's canonisation would be fast-tracked by Sister Marie Simon-Pierre's recovery from Parkinson's disease have been set back by reports that the French nun has fallen ill again...

It's the devil's work.
PS I can never remember which Pope is which. Are we discussing The Polish Pope?
D, yup, the one who named himself after two of The Beatles.
I think Pope Ringo George would have been a better name.
R, I would have preferred the next Pope to have been called 'Pope Mick Keith' or 'Pope Bon Angus', but hey.
This was the guy who gave a $2 bilion interest fre long term loan to our Croatian Nazi pals to "not buy weapons with" (they used the education budget to buy guns & used to loan for education & were thus able to aford genocide).
And then there is the little reported case of Caritas supplying gtound to air missiles to the KLA. http://www.mail-archive.com/news@antic.org/msg06651.html
My guess is St George wouldn't get in today because he only killed 1 dragon.
Even Marx was right once (if you say enough then the law of averages must determine something you say is true). I may be misquoting "Religion is the opiate of the people" how people fall for this religious stuff in this day and age is beyond me. Perhaps I am speaking out of turn and you are a very pious lot (by your comments I have little FAITH in that). However let me leave you with this thought; If you believe in God then when you die where do you think you will end up in heaven or that other place? If there is no God then there is no other place, isn't that a relief.
