OK, two kids ingested an inappropriate substance and died.
All very sad.
But where's the politician with the nerve to paraphrase Phil Mogg's off the cuff remark in an interview with Sounds magazine circa 1980: "Sid Vicious was a wimp who couldn’t take his drugs”?

How many people are killed playing rugby every year?
AC1: "How many people are killed playing rugby every year?"
a) I don't know.
b) I don't care.
c) If at all possible, I don't want my lad playing rugby.
c) You big softy.
BTW Bet you it was the meTHadone that killed them. It seems to be much more toxic than Heroin.
AC1, indeed. According to that Horizon programme methadone is about four times as deadly as heroin.
I think I'd definitely vote for any politician who said that.
We need more politicians whose first reaction to this sort of news is 'Shit happens..' and far fewer of the sort whose first reaction is 'Something must be done!'
Trouble is, any politician with the balls to say "shit happens, get on with your life" is going to get crucified by the tabloid shroud-wavers.
JM, indeed.
P, a politician thus crucified would just shrug and say "Shit happens. I'm getting on with my life." :)
Mark, I doubt that such a politician could be "crucified by the tabloid shroud-wavers". If you don't care what the tabloids say, like Clement Attlee, then they can't crucify you. Wish we had more like that.
