New Education Policy!!!

The government will teach all children how to manage money, control debt and set up loans from the age of 5.

Right, because the bloody government knows how to manage debt. Twats. Perhaps they should teach them what benefits they are 'entitled' to and how to claim for them.

Maybe they're just planning that in the next round of credit expansion they'll allow five year olds to get credit, since nobody else in the economy has a credit rating sufficient to alow them to borrow again.

Jock may be too near the bone for comfort with that comment.

Don't they already teach them how to claim benefits? I've sort of lost track. I know they aren't teaching them to read, write and add up...

What Jock says. Seeing as they don't get taught maths any more, "managing money" must either mean "borrowing more" or "claiming more benefits".

Are you sure this isn't just an extension of the policy where alcoholics go into schools to warn of the dangers of alcohol and how it can ruin lives?

I'm sure they already teach them all about claiming benefits. And obviously they need to be able to make loan applications in order to be full citizens of Labour's Britain.

And JuliaM, really you should know that if they could read, write and add up they might realise how they're being conned. So that would be a handicap for the poor dears, who would lose a part of their victim status.

I'm quite amused by all the NatWest ads talking about how they're telling kids how to manage their money. Maybe they should have started with their directors...
