Awww c'mon MW. It was 1969 when all said and done (though I admit to having to Google it to tag it exactly). A simpler world, formertory safely at school, wondering if the summer of love would ever claim his virginity (it didn't; it was a couple of years late).
Ach, a full tone gearshift was trivial compared with some of the other sins committed in the name of pop at the time.
