There is of course a huge overlap between "Xmas songs" and "songs with gearchanges in them". Here's one of my favourites,"Christmas Time" by The Darkness, which is in the key of A until half-way into the guitar solo at 2 minutes 22 seconds, when if shift up in the key of B. So-bad-that-it's-good, and the video is a classic:

Much to my pleasant surprise this has become a Christmas fav around our household.
Kitch, camp, tights, terrible taste, hideous gear change, general weirdness- it's got everything, and I speak as a fan of good/bad christmas songs. I wish it could be Christmas evry day, I believe in Father Christmas, Blue Christmas and further sins agianst all musical propriety.
The gear change was so small it was hardly noticeable among the slurred lyrics and silly hair.
Thud, I've even trained my kids to shout "Gear change!" at the relevant bit.
CIngram, you forgot to mention the pathetic schoolboy humour ("Bell-end").
TFB, the gear change itself is well hidden, you have to play along on a guitar or piano and then you'll notice it.

Indeed! Can't imagine why it didn't become a Christmas classic, yet you don't hear it that often...
Though you can never escape 'Do They Know It's Christmas' in late December in any shopping mall.
