So the lying f***er has resigned, allegedly. Methinks t'would be deeply gratifying if his name were forever associated with this song. Look out for the bit where they sing "Wipe it, oh yeah/I wiped it all, yeah/Wipe it, oh why-y-y-...":

I thought he was just standing down while they investigate, the implication being that he will be returning as soon as the ball has been whitwashed and then kicked in to the vey long grass*.
No doubt he is stil on full (tax payers) pay.
*Believe me, I've lost enough golf balls to know that white balls in very long grass are difficult to find.
That's actually surprisingly catchy.
Should the investigation prove damning, he can expect to be sacrificed and discredited (poor fool).
There's too much at stake for them to give up their milch cow project over data which (allegedly) no longer exists.
Not sorry to see him go, but I've decided to join the bandwagon. Like it or lump it (and I think it's bollocks) emissions trading is the future - I'm getting reading.

I concluded that he would be the fall guy just a couple of days after Climategate erupted. He is too much of an embarrassment to his co-conspirators and will never live down " hide the decline ".
However, while he may never be published again, his pals in academe will surely find him a cushy sinecure with a nice final salary pension.
( horrid song btw ).
dearieme
Bad news "the interview concerned the theft of emails from the university and alleged death threats since the contents of the emails were released, adding he was being treated as a 'victim of crime'
Good news "future reports from the UN's International Panel of Climate Change would lack credibility if Professor Jones was involved in their compilation."
All these people plus the pollies who voted for Lisbon are going onto a big Index and we're gonna deal with them.
Well, a man can dream.
@banned, there's hope yet - what you quote was attributed to "sources". Maybe the "sources" are as bent as a Climate Scientist.
