Englishman's Castle has spotted* that The Science Museum has cancelled the last vote, which had a slim majority for "Count me out" (following a huge surge in "Count me in" a day or two ago). Bugger.
So we'll have to start all over again, vote here. At the moment it's 6 "Count me In" and 82 "Count me out".
* Actually it was AC1 who tipped him off in the comments to an earlier thread, but you get the gist.
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

Done.
But I have no faith in these things. I have seen too many experience a "miraculous" swing back to the "correct" result.
These people have no shame.
CR.
Already done.
Just a thought - wonder if it worth checking whether they get an EU grant somewhere along the line. On the basis that they didn't like the first result, so they having another go.......?
They'll conjure up whatever suits them, same with GW in general.
These people should be burned at the stake.
With that margin, is it necessary to start again?
CR, it's funny how that happens.
WFW, Her Indoors is off to Science Museum, I have asked her to pick up as many leaflets as possible to see how many are emblazoned with EU flag.
Anon, nope. Think of the carbon footprint!
JH, they deemed it necessary. Not up to us to question it.
a little fudging has been done
* 5437 counted in so far
* 6708 counted out so far
at about 6pm, It was 6 Gaia Worship is the one true way, 53 count me out.
Some VERY strange things are happening with those figures.
"To be counted out, just tell us who you are*. We'll pass the results on to the government to let them know where you stand."
I don't think so. Nice little list of self-proclaimed Climate Crunch Deniers for the govt. to persecute at their leisure.
AC1, indeedy, but you are the man with his finger on the pulse.
Banned, as I've said before, they already know who I am, so there's no harm in me reminding them.
I'll set something up to grab the page every so often and see what happens with the votes tomorrow.
Here's something even more interesting.
I voted "count me out".
Then I got one of those emails with a huge long url in it, saying "we need to be sure you really voted", etc etc. Well fair enough.
But when I went to that link to confirm your vote, it took me to the Count Me In page.
Devious shits, or what? Don't tell me this is a bug, it's just too much of a coincidence.
imho the whole thing is totally discredited, rather like the Hockey Stick they no doubt admire so much.
WY, it's all over the place. As Anon said (see above), yesterday evening it was 5,437 "in" and 6,708 "out". But at the moment (18 hours later) it is 771 "in" and 5,250 "out".
And this is supposed to be the Science Museum! They could have used Pollcode for free and that would have been more reliable.
I went to the Science Museum on Tuesday.
The Prove It display is right at the far end and it isn't devoted solely to AGW. There is a bigger display about GM food.
Now here's the interesting contrast. On the GM display there arguments both for and against. The ones against are the usual precautionary principle, not very scientific but at least they show a debate. In contrast the AGW display has no balance whatsoever.
It consists of a circular area on the ground with several desks where you can vote as per the website. In the middle is a screen which is reverse projected where we have the standard climate alarmism - rising sea levels, people are dying now etc. People stood or sat and listened to the display. All very high tech!
I saw plenty of people voting in favour and no one against, although it has to be said, the vast majority of voters were children.
Behind the circle were three stands with "Prove It" badges and they were expecting some visitor. Presumably he was going to speak or perhaps answers questions.
I asked a guide why the contrast between GM and AGW in terms of balance. She said she trusted the IPCC. I pointed out the discrepancy between claims of 20ft plus sea level rises and the IPCC claim of 19inch. My wife interrupted to ask me not to make a scene and we moved on.
