Glorious!
The BBC has been accused of political bias for allowing Boris Johnson to appear on EastEnders despite rejecting an idea from his predecessor Ken Livingstone...
Mr Livingstone approached the BBC during his last term as Mayor, hoping to highlight a recycling campaign on the show. He said: "They said it wouldn't be appropriate, that it was political. They've obviously changed their tune, but then they have always been quite keen on Boris." Labour Assembly member Murad Qureshi accused the BBC of giving Mr Johnson free publicity.
The BBC claimed that the office of Mayor was "politically neutral".
Are you all set?

Well, that's just a feeble rejoinder, if Little Kenny was Mayor at the time too!
What they really meant was 'You aren't supposed to ask us things like that! Help!'
Interesting - that plus the fact that a recent Question Time picked as its independent guests 2 sympathetic to the right. Methinks they see Cameron winning & want to cover their collective arse.
Not like the days when Hardeep "I'd rather die than vote for a Conservative" Singh Kholi was, 3 times, chosen by QT to represent the typical Scot in the street.
Well, maybe they see Boris as such a buffoon that he is effectively neutral (or was that neutered?).
