Jenson Button wins F1 World Drivers' Championship!!

That fifth place in Brazil just now clinched it. Unless of course 'they' retrospectively knock off a couple of points to make sure the championship isn't decided until the final race, as is traditional.

Yippee, well done Jenson etc.

I find it hard to get nationalistic about motor racing, especially as I can't stomach Lewis Hamilton, but well done Jensen.

It's been traditional recently to make an agonic struggle of winning the title, almost as if you didn't really want to make yourself conspicuous, and as you say, the FIA could still add excitement to the last race.

@WFW

I'm not sure about that; it was my wife who got me interested in F1, because of Fernando Alonso.

Alonso. He's at Real Madrid now isn't he?

CI, don't confuse Jenson with Jensen!

BQMP, don't confuse him Fernando Torres!

Usually, yes. But not this race!

Pretty action packed, proper racing for a change and at one point, I thought we might get to see a bit of trackside boxing too! :)

The Telegraph this morning explained it. He had the best car. Surprise!

D, he didn't have the best car, he had the best Ross Brawn, a towering genius among team bosses.
