"Count me out!"

Via Englishmanscastle, a Fun Online Poll over at The Science Museum:

PROVE IT! gives you the evidence to decide where you stand... "I've seen the evidence. And I want the government to prove they're serious about climate change by negotiating a strong, effective, fair deal at Copenhagen."

You can choose "Count me in!" (currently 370 votes) or "Count me out!" (currently 1,957 votes).

Yes but what does this mean? What does count me in mean? That I support Gore or that I'm against him?

"Check out the facts, weigh up the evidence, and decide what sort of deal you think the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen should deliver"

How are we supposed to check out the facts and weigh up the evidence when they have only provided one half of it on their web-site?

That statement in or out of which one is invited to be counted is somewhat vague and also makes various assumptions about political action. Based on the way it's phrased I would have to vote "out" despite (I suspect) being considerably more impressed by climate change research that anyone else here.

To be counted out, just tell us who you are*. We'll pass the results on to the government to let them know where you stand. Please enter your name.

Nice, self proclaimed list of subversives for Mandys' goons to deal with.
Used an old e-mail and ID.

Where did you get the poll result from? I voted and no result came up, just an invite to check the evidence.

I'm guessing they detected the votes weren't falling as expected.

JH, I voted "Count me out", if that's any help?

DP, assume that they are lying, it saves time.

K, good stuff.

Banned, they know perfectly well who I am anyway.

TDK, the result shows up in green on the first screen you see when you click the link. Currently 454 in; 2,990 out.
