More free publicity for the BNP

From The Metro:

Union leaders have called for a ban on BNP members working in public services and called for a huge campaign to counter the threat of fascism.

The TUC Congress said urgent talks should be held with the Government about extending the current ban on BNP members working in the police and Prison Service. BNP membership was "incompatible" with jobs in teaching, the NHS and other parts of the public sector, said the TUC.

The TUC has an interesting mindset.

Perhaps all public sector workers should be banned from belonging to ANY political party...in fact I believe we should go the whole hog and exclude them from voting.

I'd prefer to ban union members from the extortion funded sector.

Totally off topic but something that currently occupies some of my mind:

Without LVT, ergo contemporaneous, how would you incentivise councils to incentivise shopowners to let their(empty) properties to rejuvenate town centres bearing in mind that the shop owners will raise rents if rates are not applied?

I have to qualify that: the town I refer to, like others, has recently had a massive out of town complex built.

(I mean by recently within the last five years).

The TUC today called for the abolition of all political parties apart from the New Communist party. Brendan Barber has been named president of the NCP for life.
The NCP immediately said its taxation polices would reflect its Car Park's namesake.
"The first tier is free but each subsequent tier gradually increases the rate you must pay. If you stray into the 24 hour top tier you will be towed away."

Amidst wild cheering Dave Prentis immediately formed the Socialist Workers and Associated Service Industries {even if they are bankers} Party and split from the communists.
Billy Hayes and Bob Crow denounced the New Communist Party as Tory wanabees and set about forming the Old Communist Party with a joint leadership similar to Unite.

Without LVT, it's nigh impossible. If you can think up something, please tell me.

With LVT, it's a doddle. We already have a form of LVT on business premises, called Business Rates. The government severely reduced exemptions for vacant premises a year or two ago, and there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that this is forcing landlords to re-let empty shops. OK, the resulting increase in lettings is largely offset by the likes of Woolies etc going bankrupt, but it is true nonetheless.

Oh the irony. People want the government to force certain people not to have jobs because they're fascists.

Absence of BNP members will bugger-up their "Diversity Targets"
