More black ink tomfoolery

My theory is, life doesn't copy art any more; it now copies satire.

The whole furore over the redacted MPs' expense claims reminds me of a spoof article I read on  The Onion four-and-a-half years ago.

Well remembered!

I've been thinking more along the lines of Yossarian censoring letters in Catch-22:

'He reached a much higher plane of creativity the following day when he blacked out everything in the letters but a, an and the. That erected more dynamic intralinear tensions, he felt, and in just about every case left a message far more universal.
