Why does the same figure for Mps staying away keep recurring: 23,083?It is obviously some break-off or tripping point but what?
That's just the maximum they can claim. Some coincidence, huh?
D'oh! As soon as I'd posted this I realised it was the maximum - but too late!
How an earth was the ridiculously precise figure arrived at?Is it entirely arbitary? No matter -they'd all aim at it whatever it was.
I can only assume they pitched the maximum second home allowance at median gross income for a full-time male employee or something.
The fact that so many claimed the max just proves that the max is too low; many must have spent more and been limited in what they could claim, poor dears.
