"I seem to remember that in Shakespearean times, boys would play girls and girls would play boys and the whole point was trying work out which was which."
Exactly how far back does she go? Maybe she should get screened for Alzheimer's, seeing as the whole point of "Shakespeare in Love", "Stage Beauty", the lovely book "The Wonderful Winter" and even the recent romp through Shakespeare by Bill Bryson, was that in Shakespearean times there were no women on the stage at all, on account of it being illegal, so no guessing required.
Hence Simon Callow delivering the line "That woman is...a Woman!"
I do hope somebody uses that line on her in debate next week. Then somebody else can yell "Oh no she isn't".
